Capstone™ LPA
Capstone™ LPA is solvent based, fluorinated polymer designed to provide oil and water repellency to leather finishes.
Capstone™ LPA is a solvent-based fluoropolymer used for the protection of leathers and textiles. It is formulated into leather finishes and care products at 3-5% to provide an invisible barrier to water and oil. Leather finishes and care product formulated with Capstone™ LPA show outstanding resistance to stains and since it is non-film forming the appearance and feel of the leather will not be changed.
All samples and purchases of Capstone for new projects and applications must first be evaluated for approval by ChemPoint and Chemours.

Capstone™ fluorosurfactants and repellents were introduced as sustainable replacements that meet the goals of the U.S. EPA 2010/15 PFOA Stewardship Program. They are based on short-chain molecules that cannot break down to PFOA or PFOS in the environment.
