Capstone™ FS-50 is an amphoteric fluorosurfactant that is used to reduce surface tension and provide sustained foam. It is most often used in water-based cleaning products.
Capstone™ FS-50 is an amphoteric fluorosurfactant that is used to significantly reduce the surface tension of water-based formulations. Capstone™ FS-50 is also used to provide sustained foam. This reduction of surface tension and sustained foaming makes Capstone™ FS-50 ideal for use in industrial and institutional cleaning products. Capstone™ FS-50 is available commercially as a 27% solids solution in 5 gallon pails and 55 gallon drums.

Capstone™ FS-50 is recommended for use as a foaming agent and surface tension reducing surfactant in oil field operations, industrial cleaning solutions, floor care products, and latex paint formulations.

Capstone™ fluorosurfactants and repellents were introduced as sustainable replacements that meet the goals of the U.S. EPA 2010/15 PFOA Stewardship Program. They are based on short-chain molecules that cannot break down to PFOA or PFOS in the environment.
