BONDERITE® S-AD 1275 ACHESON is an oil-based, graphite dispersion used in formulating single-grade and multigrade engine oils to reduce metal-on-metal contact and surface scuffing.
BONDERITE® S-AD 1275 ACHESON (also known as SLA 1275) is a dispersion of colloidal graphite particles uniformly suspended in highly refined petroleum oil. It is designed to be used in formulating single-grade and multigrade engine oils. The graphite particles form a solid lubrication film on metal surfaces to prevent metal-on-metal contact and reduce friction, wear, and surface scuffing. This performance is crucial in combating the wear and tear engines face under high pressure and temperature, which can significantly compromise engine lifetime. When added to engine oil formulations, this results in better fuel economy, less engine wear, enhanced engine performance, better protection during intermittent or extreme operating conditions, improved cold starts, and enhanced engine cleanliness. Additionally, this product can provide anti-wear performance to other lubricant applications, such as penetrating oils, chain oils, slideway oils, and aerosols. These versatile applications highlight the product's ability to adapt to and improve various mechanical functions beyond engine oils. BONDERITE® S-AD 1275 ACHESON is a cost-effective way to enhance the frictional performance of lubricating oils while minimizing formulation and blending costs, making it an attractive option for manufacturers seeking efficiency without sacrificing quality in their lubricants.
