BONDERITE® L-FM 390-B (previously known as COPPERSKIN 390-B) is a synthetic-based forming lubricant used for the cold forming and drawing of copper, copper alloys, and non-ferrous wire and tubing in water-based systems.
Concentration: 1.5 - 10% by volume
pH: 6.5 - 8.5
Temperature: 90 – 120° F (32 – 50° C)
Provides a Stable Emulsion in Water

Non-Reactive with Copper to Prevent Sludge Formation
Low Foaming
Settles Copper Fines
Non-Staining on Copper
Sludge formation due to reactivity with copper
Dirty machinery and tools during copper forming and drawing
Excessive foaming
Copper staining during storage and annealing
BONDERITE® L-FM 390-B working coolant concentration is from 1.5% - 10% by volume. Before making a new tank of BONDERITE® L-FM 390-B, the system should be cleaned and flushed. Before application, the coolant should be circulated between 20-40 minutes depending on the size of the system to ensure the coolant is well mixed.
