BONDERITE® L-CA 632 is a water-based insulating coating for gates and risers and low-pressure and permanent mold casting processes.
BONDERITE® L-CA 632, also referred to as DAG 632, is an innovative insulating coating composed of refractory pigments diluted in water. The fine particle size of the pigments allows for near net shape casting processes. It has application in numerous casting operations, including permanent mold casting, low-pressure casting, and as a specialized coating for gates and risers. It has high adherence to mold surfaces, reducing the number of recoats and optimizing overall operational efficiency. Furthermore, it boasts remarkable abrasion resistance, extending coating life and the lifespan of the equipment it is applied to and ensuring consistent performance over time. To optimize part release, it is common practice to apply BONDERITE® L-FG 137 or BONDERITE® L-GP PRODAG as an overcoat. This combination enhances the quality of metal castings and reduces downtime associated with removing stuck parts. Diluted BONDERITE® L-CA 632 should be spray applied, and multiple coats are typically required to achieve the desired coating thickness. The recommended starting dilution ratio is 1:1 product to water.

Excellent insulating base coat for release agents
Poor die fill is a common issue during casting operations, particularly in intricate or near net shape processes. This can lead to cast parts with inferior finish or surface defects, leading to excess scrap and downtime. Some insulating coatings may also have poor adhesion or abrasion resistance, leading to frequent recoats and repairs. This results in inefficient production cycles and potential delays.
