Applications
BONDERITE® L-FM SNL-3 is a cupping lubricant for the aluminum can making industry. The application process generally goes as follows:
BONDERITE® L-FM SNL-3 is added to the day or supply tank.
An in-line heater may be used between the tank and injectors.
A thin and uniform layer of BONDERITE® L-FM SNL-3 is applied via a neat oil applicator system to both sides of the aluminum coil surface
The cupper stroke counting system should be adjusted to the desired cup weight (15-30 mg/cup)
The lubricated aluminum sheet is fed to the cupper press via feed rolls.
The sheet is blanked to form a disc and then drawn to form a cup.
Cups are sent to the bodymakers for redrawing and ironing.
