PARALOID™ K-400 is a processing aid for PVC foam that increases impact strength, surface appearance, and cell uniformity, while decreasing foam density.
PARALOID™ K-400 is a free-flowing acrylic processing aid designed to improve the fusion, flow, strength, and surface appearance of rigid or flexible polyvinyl chloride (PVC). As a relatively high molecular weight acrylic copolymer, this Dow grade accelerates the fusion process for cellular vinyl products. PARALOID™ K-400 offers a uniform cell structure for vinyl foam while significantly impacting the viscosity and melt elasticity of the product. As an acrylic processing aid, vinyl foam sheets or profiles can experience an exceptionally smooth surface finish and outstanding processing due to reduced fusion time.
