Dianal BR-57 is an acrylic resin used as a binder in wet concrete coatings. It is also used as a concrete curing compound.
Dianal BR-57 is a thermoplastic styrene acrylic resin designed as a binder for wet concrete coatings. It is also used as a curing compound for concrete. The styrene content of BR-57 provides hydrophobicity that is useful for creating a high degree of resistance to humidity and water. When used in concrete coatings, these properties ensure that moisture is retained such that concrete can develop optimal strength.
This resin is similar in terms of function and use cases to Dianal BR-53, except it has a slightly lower molecular weight and is meant for higher-solids concrete formulations. Like Dianal BR-53, Dianal BR-57 is supplied as a solid bead and is soluble in a variety of solvents, including toluene, MEK, acetone, ethyl acetate, n-butyl acetate, and PCBTF.
