EPOLENE® N-35 is a low–molecular weight polyethylene homopolymer used as a mold release aid and pigment dispersant in plastic applications.
EPOLENE® N-35 is a low-density polyethylene wax that features good wetting and a low coefficient of friction. These properties make it useful as a modifier for natural and synthetic waxes to increase abrasion resistance in inks and enhance blocking resistance and adhesion for paper coatings. EPOLENE® N-35 is also used as an aid for pigment dispersion and mold release in plastics applications, such as masterbatches. Additionally, EPOLENE® N-35 is also used in printing inks and paper coatings to improve scuff and rub resistance and gloss. In hot-melt adhesive applications, EPOLENE® N-35 modifies viscosity and reduces sag.
