EPOLENE® C-13P is a highly branched, low-density polyethylene wax. It is present in powdered form. It is used as an additive in inks and a base polymer in color concentrates, coatings, and hot-melt adhesives.
EPOLENE® C-13P is a highly branched, medium molecular weight, low-density polyethylene wax supplied in powdered form. It is commonly used as a base for color concentrates, offering excellent pigment dispersion and improved processability.
EPOLENE® C-13P wax can also be used as a base polymer in hot-melt coatings and adhesives. It provides excellent grease resistance, high gloss, abrasion resistance, and low moisture vapor transmission. Additionally, it can be blended with paraffin waxes to increase the viscosity of the wax blend. In solvent-based and water-based inks, EPOLENE® C-13P functions as an additive to increase rub resistance, create higher slip on the printed surface, and reduce offset. These properties make it ideal for coatings, inks, and adhesives for packaging and paper. The low coefficient of friction of EPOLENE® C-13P also makes it a useful lubricant for rubber compounding operations.
