Krytox™ XP-2C5 grease features long life and high-temperature stability. It helps prevent metal fretting with a base oil viscosity of 160 cSt.
Krytox™ XP-2C5 is a PFPE-based synthetic lubricant that extends equipment life in heavy-loaded or extreme-pressure environments. Krytox™ XP-2C5 grease is formulated with a PTFE and nonmelting thickener system to enhance performance under high temperatures. Krytox™ XP-2C5 is completely inert or nonreactive and performs well in highly corrosive and extreme-pressure environments due to its anticorrosion and anti-wear properties.
Krytox™ XP-2C5 contains an oil-soluble additive package that helps prevent surface corrosion and wear damage. This patented additive package contains a micropowder, boron nitride, for enhanced extreme-pressure protection. Krytox™ XP-2C5 is a suitable product solution for applications where conventional greases melt, break down, or fail under high-temperature conditions. Krytox™ XP-2C5 is also safe for oxygen service applications due to the inherent nonreactivity of the PFPE chemistry and will not damage plastic or elastomer O-rings.
