Krytox™ GPL 216 is a black, PFPE-based grease with a PTFE thickener and solid molybdenum disulfide (MOS2) for added extreme pressure (EP) stability. This general purpose lubricant (GPL) is engineered for a variety of lubrication applications in the automotive and industrial sectors, especially including gears & bearings subject to extremely high loads.
Krytox™ GPL 216 is engineered with a base oil viscosity of 243 centistokes at 40°C and is thermally stable in environments with temperatures ranges up to 500°F.
Krytox™ GPL 216 has a medium molecular weight base oil and exhibits the same chemical properties as the PFPE oil used (Krytox™ GPL 106).
