EPOLENE® N-15 Polymer
EPOLENE® N-15 is a polypropylene wax used as a pigment dispersant in color masterbatches and toner compounds. It is also used as a low–molecular weight wax modifier in coating and ink applications.
EPOLENE® N-15 is a low–molecular weight polypropylene wax polymer used in color concentrates. This polymer reduces the average particle size of pigments and prevents pigment agglomeration. In turn, EPOLENE® N-15 improves the color strength of color masterbatches and reduces filter and die pressure during processing.
Being one of the few EPOLENE® grades based on a polypropylene polymer, EPOLENE® N-15 has excellent compatibility with plastic-grade polypropylene and thus allows for improved pigment-dispersing properties in polypropylene fiber applications. EPOLENE® N-15 may also used in solventborne coating and ink formulations as a wax modifier to paraffin wax to improve blocking and scuff resistance. In hot-melt adhesives, the EPOLENE® N-15 polymer serves as a base resin or modifying resin with good adhesion to fibrous surfaces.
