Membrane Material M300
Membrane Material M300 is a high purity cellulose triacetate polymer that is used in the manufacture of organic membranes for liquid and gas filtration.
Membrane Material M300 is a cellulose acetate polymer with a acetyl content of 43.6%. This cellulose triacetate is manufactured to ultra high purity standards and was designed to be used to manufacture high quality organic membranes. Membrane Material M300 is recommended for use in organic membranes for beverage clarification, natural gas filtration, waste water treatment, and desalination. Membrane Material M300 is more hydrophilic than other membrane common membrane materials like PVDF and Polyamides. It makes better contact with aqueous feed streams and therefore has a lower risk of fouling. In addition, Membrane Material M300 has excellent oxidant resistance. Membranes composed of M300 can be cleaned using acids, bases, and chlorine without damaging the efficacy of the membrane. Cellulose Acetates have a natural selectivity for CO2 and CH4; for this reason cellulose acetates like Membrane Material M300 are still the leading material used in spiral wound and hollow fiber membranes for natural gas filtration.
Extremely hydrophilic High fouling resistance Chlorine tolerance up to 10^5 ppm Improved resistance to oxidizers High salt rejection properties Cost efficient membrane polymer Renewable Non-toxic Moderate flux High purity
Problems Solved
Fouling of filtration membranes used in desalination, dairy filtration, natural gas High cost of membrane materials Destruction of filtration membranes caused by harsh cleaning procedures
Applications
Eastman M300 Membrane Material is ideal raw material for a variety of filtration technologies and applications: Microfiltration (MF) membrane filters Ultrafiltration (UF) membrane filters Nanofiltration (NF) membranes Reverse Osmosis (RO) membranes Forward Osmosis (FO) membranes Gas separation membranes
