Solus™ 3450
Solus™ 3450 is a cellulose-based additive that improves the durability, appearance, and dry-to-touch time of coatings and lacquers for industrial applications.
Solus™ 3540 is a cellulose-based additive designed for solvent-based industrial coating systems to improve overall durability, visual quality, and cure speed. It is soluble in a wide range of solvents typically used in industrial lacquers and forms a clear solution with low viscosity. Films formed with Solus™ 3450 exhibit outstanding resistance to degradation and yellowing due to UV exposure and have minimized surface defects such as cratering due to improved flow and leveling properties. Solus™ 3450 also helps increase intercoat adhesion and helps prevent redissolution of basecoats by topcoats applied. Upon curing, films containing Solus™ 3450 exhibit faster dry-to-touch times, increasing several durability qualities, such as early-cure hardness and mar resistance. Solus™ 3450 is made from approximately 40% bio content, making it a powerful additive made from renewable resources.
