Solus™ 1250
Solus™ 1250 is a cellulose-based additive that enhances the durability and visual quality of solvent-based and UV-curable ink formulations.
Solus™ 1250 is a cellulose-based performance additive ideal for solvent-based screen and gravure inks and UV-curable inks. Solus™ 1250 forms clear solutions and is soluble in several solvents used in ink applications, but compared to other Solus™ additives, it builds viscosity to a relatively intermediate level. It helps form films with a good balance of flexibility and durability due to its intermediate glass transition temperature (Tg). Durability is increased when using Solus™ 1250 due to its ability to increase early-cure hardness and cross-link density. Solus™ 1250 also helps improve image quality, adhesion, and durability by improving flow and leveling on low–surface energy substrates. Ink films made with Solus™ 1200 feature excellent resistance to degradation from UV exposure and yellowing. Solus™ 1200 is made from approximately 40% bio content, making it a powerful additive made from renewable resources.
