PACACEL™ L75-200
PACACEL™ L75-200 is the isocyanate component intended to be paired with Coreactant CR-201 or Coreactant CR-202 to form two-part, solventless, polyurethane adhesive systems primarily used in flexible packaging applications.
PACACEL™ L75-200 may be used with either the CR-201 or CR-202 polyol coreactant to create a solventless, 100% solids, polyurethane laminating adhesive that can be applied at room temperature and has great compatibility with printing inks used in flexible packaging.
When paired with Coreactant CR-201, PACACEL™ L75-200 forms a solventless laminating adhesive with rapid bond development and excellent adhesion to PET, aluminum oxide-coated films, and treated PP, PE, and coextruded polymer films. Laminates made with the PACACEL™ L75-200/CR-201 system can be further processed within 6 hours and cured within 3 days at ambient temperature. Common applications for the PACACEL™ L75-200/CR-201 system include packaging for meat and cheese, snack foods, frozen foods, and condiments. This adhesive system is also ideal for bottle label laminations and heat-sensitive film laminations. PACACEL™ L75-200/CR-201 is approved for hot fill applications in compliance with FDA 21 CFR 177.1395 conditions of use C–G. It also complies with (EU) No 10/2011.
Compared to the PACACEL™ L75-200/CR-201 system, pairing PACACEL™ L75-200 with Coreactant CR-202 will create a solventless laminating adhesive with shorter cure times, better metallized film adhesion, higher chemical and heat resistance, and faster line speeds. The laminates formed with PACACEL™ L75-200/CR-202 fully cure within 2 days at ambient temperature and can be further processed within 6 hours after coating. In addition to providing excellent adhesion to the same substrates listed above for the PACACEL™ L75-200/CR-201 system, the PACACEL™ L75-200/CR-202 system features stronger bonds to metallized films, such as metallized polyester. PACACEL™ L75-200/CR-202 is additionally compliant with FDA 21 CFR 177.1395 conditions of use B–H and, therefore, is also approved for high-performance applications, such as boil-in-bag, hot fill, and ovenable packaging. PACACEL™ L75-200/CR-202 also complies with (EU) No 10/2011.
