Overview
ADCOTE™ 35D9 is a solvent-based heat seal coating and primer based on vinyl chemistry. It is typically applied at 0.5–4.0 lb per ream (dry coating weight) to paper or foil to form a low-blocking coating that can be subsequently heat sealed to aluminum foil, paper, and PVC. ADCOTE™ 35D9 exhibits outstanding resistance to oils, most chemicals, and moisture. Therefore, it is suitable for creating flexible lids on food packaging and sealing packaging for products such as agricultural chemicals and industrial lubricants.
ADCOTE™ 35D9 is also often used as a primer for heat seal coatings applied to aluminum foil due to its outstanding adhesion to aluminum foil. Here, it is typically applied at 0.5–1.0 lb per ream to protect the foil from corrosion and enhance adhesion to EVA-based heat seal coatings.
