ADCOTE™ 577 is a solvent-based polyester urethane component of a two-component laminating adhesive system. This adhesive system is typically used in food and medical packaging and industrial laminate applications that require high bond strength.
ADCOTE™ 577 is a medium-performance, two-component polyester urethane laminating adhesive. It is set within an ethyl acetate solvent and requires the use of Coreactant ADCOTE™ 577B to achieve full properties.
The ADCOTE™ 577/577B adhesive develops high green bond strength quickly, allowing faster postprocessing and turnaround times for manufacturing flexible packaging. When cured, the adhesive maintains strong bonds and exhibits high levels of heat and chemical resistance. Compared to other Bostik solvent-based laminating adhesives, ADCOTE™ 577/577B provides a higher degree of versatility and suitability within various applications. It is ideal for creating laminates used for snack food, meat, cheese, frozen food, oily and greasy foods, and even chemically aggressive solutions used in medical and pharmaceutical applications.
This adhesive develops excellent bonds to a wide variety of films and foil materials, including PE, PP, PET, Nylon, PVC, metallized PET, and aluminum foil. It is also suitable for paper-based laminations.
