Krytox™ GPL221 Grease
Krytox™ GPL 221 is a white, NLGI Grade 2 PFPE-based grease with a PTFE thickener and sodium nitrite for enhanced anticorrosion performance (−94°F to 220°F). Its base oil viscosity is 7.8 cSt at 40°C.
Krytox™ GPL 221 is a PFPE-based grease engineered with a PTFE thickener and additized sodium nitrite for improved anticorrosion performance. Krytox™ GPL 221 is commonly used in a broad variety of applications within the automotive and industrial markets. Krytox™ GPL 221 exhibits exceptional rust protection at ambient temperatures, corrosion protection at elevated temperatures, and anti-wear performance.
Krytox™ GPL 221 has a base oil viscosity of 7.8 centistokes at 40°C and is suitable for use in applications up to 104°C (220°F). Krytox™ GPL 221 greases are white buttery greases with all the same chemical properties as the Krytox™ GPL 101 oil they are made from. Krytox™ GPL 221 anticorrosion grease’s base PFPE oil has a lower molecular weight, which improves functionality at lower temperatures for specific applications.
