Krytox™ XHT-EP299 Grease is a high-performance extreme-pressure lubricant specially formulated for high-temperature applications (up to 316°C) that need both high load-carrying capacity and corrosion protection.
Krytox™ XHT-EP299 Grease is a high-performance extreme-pressure (EP) lubricant formulated with perfluoropolyether (PFPE) combined with a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) thickener and EP additives. The EP additives in Krytox™ XHT-EP299 provide additional protection by forming a barrier that offers antifriction and anti-wear properties for metal surfaces.
Krytox™ XHT-EP299 provides excellent physical stability and resistance to chemicals, oxygen, and more, making this grease suitable for high-speed, high-load applications, such as bearing and gears. This lubricant is compatible with most materials, ensures smooth operation and equipment protection, and is commonly used in the aerospace, automotive, and industrial industries. Typical uses include conveyor chains subjected to moist conditions or frequent temperature cycling that could allow condensation and rusting to occur.
Krytox™ XHT-EP299 grease is designed to operate at temperatures ranging from −5°C to 300°C, with peak temperatures up to 316°C for short periods. It has excellent thermal stability and does not break down or oxidize, even at high temperatures.
Krytox™ XHT-EP299 lubricant has a viscosity of 3,500 cSt at 20°C.
