UCON™ FDC 300
UCON™ FDC 300 is an ISO 32 polyethylene glycol–based hydraulic fluid for use in the food, drug, cosmetic, and tobacco processing industries.
UCON™ FDC 300 PEG fluid is a highly engineered hydraulic lubricant for principal use within the food, drug, cosmetic, and tobacco industries. UCON™ FDC 300 synthetic lubricant is readily biodegradable and not expected to support microorganism growth in normal usage or in the absence of contamination. In addition, UCON™ FDC 300 PEG fluid also has a viscosity of 29 cSt at 40°C.
UCON™ polyethylene glycol lubricants provide the lubricity and performance needed from hydraulic fluids that must operate over a wider range of temperatures and operating requirements. PEG lubricants also have excellent low-temperature properties that are suitable for use year-round. Polyethylene glycol is highly resistant to oxidation and thermal degradation, reducing the need for frequent lubricant change out. Synthetic PEG fluids operate predictably under high temperatures, have exceptional water solubility characteristics, and are shear stable. In addition, these PEG synthetic lubricants work exceptionally well with compressor and metalworking fluids.
Also, PEG lubricants provide low surface tension and good wetting and penetration characteristics while exhibiting low-foaming properties. Other benefits these synthetic lubricants offer include less downtime due to surface damage reduction, long-term system integrity, and reduction in overall varnish and sludge formation.
