UCON™ MWL-2 is a synthetic, polyalkylene glycol–based metalworking fluid and component for formulating semisynthetic and synthetic coolant technologies.
UCON™ MWL-2 is a high-performance metalworking lubricant based on polyalkylene glycol (PAG) and engineered to aid in developing synthetic and semisynthetic water-based metalworking fluids. UCON™ MWL-2 is well suited for formulating fluids for difficult, heavy-duty metal machining operations where lubrication and cooling capability are essential.
UCON™ MWL-2 provides exceptional surface-coating capabilities for the metal and textile industries that require a lubricant solution with exceptional foam control. UCON™ MWL-2 has a low foaming tendency and is resistant to microbial attacks making it the ideal fluid additive for improving the overall chemistry of polyalkylene glycol–based lubricants and avoiding dreaded sump odors. UCON™ MWL-2 ensures that system and tool-maintenance checks remain infrequent and extend operational life. UCON™ MWL-2 is also compatible with most amine-based additives, allowing for more formulating capabilities for particularly difficult machining operations.
