HiTEC® 398 is a premium gear oil performance additive used for formulating fluids for standard axles with limited-slip traction control. It can be used in formulations utilizing both mineral oil and synthetic base stocks.
HiTEC® 398 delivers excellent thermal and oxidative stability to the fluid, extending the relubrication cycle without sacrificing protection. Fluids formulated properly with HiTEC® 398 can meet the specification requirements of API GL-4 and GL-5, drain-and-fill and top-off limited slip, ZF TE-ML 07A and TE-ML 08, and more.

Applications
HiTEC® 398 can be used at various treat rates to precisely control final fluid performance. The recommended treat rates fall between 3.5 wt% and 9.3 wt%, depending on the specifications and base oil used.
