HiTEC® 3435A

HiTEC® 3435A from Afton Chemical is a premium performance additive for formulating continuously variable transmission fluid (CVT fluid). This CVT fluid additive is a balanced and precise formulation of components (including friction modifiers, anti-wear agents, anticorrosion agents, and viscosity modifiers) that meets the complex needs of CVT transmission fluid.

Unlike other automatic transmissions, CVT transmissions operate with a belt (or chain link) and pulley system. The steel-on-steel contact between the belt and pulleys in a CVT creates unique frictional requirements for the transmission fluid. HiTEC® 3435A provides long-term friction durability to critical belt and chain systems within the CVT to prevent transmission shudder and gear slip. The excellent torque capacity and anti-shudder performance offer a more comfortable driving experience and extend transmission life and drain intervals.

HiTEC® 3435A provides additional performance benefits to the CVT, including extreme-pressure and anti-wear performance to prevent excessive wear on metal surfaces, increased noise and vibration, and premature failure; oxidation stability for longer fluid life; and seal compatibility to prevent transmission leaks.

HiTEC® 3435A is suitable for use in a wide range of CVT vehicles, reducing operating costs and simplifying supply for oil marketers. Afton can also demonstrate exceptional performance in Bosch Belt Box and JASO M349 CVT vehicle tests.
