ETHANOX™ 330 Powder is a high–molecular weight phenolic antioxidant ideal for a wide variety of applications, including elastomers, PE wire insulation, hot-melt adhesives, tackifiers, and engineering polymers. It is similar to ETHANOX™ 330 Granular but in a powder form.
ETHANOX™ 330 exhibits superior performance over typical high–molecular weight antioxidants in controlling degradation in polyolefins during processing. It is compatible with a wide variety of resins and most polymer additives. ETHANOX™ 330 is stable at high temperatures and electrically neutral, making it a particularly effective antioxidant for PE wire insulation.
Antioxidants with ester linkages (e.g., AO 1010 and 1076) hydrolyze easily. ETHANOX™ 330 does not have these linkages, resulting in superior hydrolysis resistance. This is particularly valuable in applications exposed to water, such as piping and wire and cable. As a nonmigratory antioxidant, ETHANOX™ 300 is the only high–molecular weight phenolic antioxidant approved by the FDA for indirect food contact use in all polymers.
