Overview
BONDERITE® M-NT 41042 is a phosphate-free metal pre-treatment formulated to provide simultaneous cleaning and coating of metal surfaces. It is suitable for use on aluminum, zinc, and ferrous metal alloys, acting as an adequate replacement for iron phosphate alternatives. This conversion layer can be applied using a spray system and provides an exceptional base for powdered, liquid, or electrophoretic paints, enhancing bonding for appliances, metal furniture, and plate articles.

Concentration measured by colorimeter:
Concentration = 1.5%–3.0% (3% is optimal)
Absorbance = 0.10─0.21 (0.21 is optimal)
pH: 3.8–4.5 (3.8─4.2 is optimal)
Time: 45–120 seconds (60─90 seconds is optimal)
Temperature: 80°F─120°F
