Viton™ VC-50 is a cross-linking agent based on bisphenol (BpAF) and an accelerator used to cure fluoroelastomers containing VF2 and HFP monomers.
Viton™ VC-50 is a cross-linker and accelerator based on bisphenol (BpAF) and phosphonium salt. Viton™ VC-50 is used for fast curing and reducing mold fouling of Viton™ fluoroelastomers. The typical usage level for Viton™ VC-50 is 1.7 to 2.6 phr. Viton™ VC-50 cannot be used with PMVE-containing fluoroelastomers.
As a curative and accelerator, this Viton™ grade is best for applications with a bisphenol cure is used, for applications such as O-rings, seals, molded shapes, gaskets, valves, diaphragms, and tubing. Viton™ VC-50, combined with the correct processing aid, offers injection and compression molders with easier part removal.
