HiTEC® 6406 is a high-quality gasoline performance additive (GPA) package specifically designed for aftermarket fuel treatment formulations. This additive is formulated with high-purity polyetheramine (PEA) detergent that delivers exceptional control over deposits that accumulate on fuel injectors, intake valves, and combustion chambers, which can impair engine efficiency over time. HiTEC® 6406 can clean up combustion chamber and intake valve deposits in one tank of fuel, as well as keep carburetors, fuel injectors, and intake valves clean over time. It is effective in both traditional port fuel injection (PFI) systems and more modern direct injection gasoline (DIG) engines. By ensuring that the fuel system remains free from unwanted buildups, HiTEC® 6406 plays a pivotal role in maintaining optimal combustion efficiency, which is vital for vehicle performance and fuel economy. HiTEC® 6406 is also formulated with an octane improver for improved octane control and corrosion inhibitors to protect metal components. Additionally, it is compatible with high-ethanol fuels.

Low octane value is also a critical issue, as it directly affects engine performance and can lead to knocking, which is the undesirable result of premature combustion in the engine. This occurrence can detrimentally impact the efficiency and lifespan of the engine.
