LyondellBasell Microthene® FA 709-00 is a 20-micron ultra-fine spherical polyethylene powder mainly used as an additive in a broad range of specialty applications. It is a flow-enhanced version of Microthene® FA 700-00. Microthene® FA 709-00 has small amounts of fumed silica to reduce bridging and clumping. This polyolefin powder grade offers similar properties to polyolefin resins but in a microfine, spherical particle size, making them suitable for dispersion in aqueous systems.
Microthene® FA 709-00 improves the dispersibility of pigments and helps provide a more uniform color in the product. These ultra-fine additives are compatible with various resin systems such as polyethylene (PE, HDPE), polypropylene (PP), thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). Microthene FA 709-00 high-density polyethylene powder is spherically shaped, which helps improves pellet flow rates and processability.
