LOCTITE® 660™ high-strength retaining compound is recommended for use as a powerful adhesive for applications that require exceptional bond strength and durability. It is specifically formulated to bond cylindrical metal assemblies, providing a secure, permanent bond that withstands extreme conditions. It is particularly effective for joining parts that have loose fits or cylindrical interference fits, as it fills gaps between mating surfaces. This anaerobic product possesses gap cure characteristics, bonding gaps up to 0.50 mm when confined in the absence of air, with the rate of cure depending on the bondline gap.
