LOCTITE® 5127™ is a versatile methacrylate ester gasket maker specifically engineered to provide a tough, resilient seal preventing leaks and fluid intrusion. This anaerobic sealer cures in the absence of oxygen between mating metal flanges, exhibiting excellent resistance to solvents and extreme temperatures ranging from -65°C to 300 °C. Its superior flexibility allows the seal to flex with flange movements commonly caused by vibration, pressurization, or thermal changes, improving flange-sealing reliability and overcoming the shortcomings of precut and conventional gaskets. Its high versatility allows it to bond to various materials, including metals, plastics, glass, ceramics, and painted surfaces. It is recommended for making gaskets for housings, pumps, gear cases, axle covers, split crankcases, and other areas where conventional gaskets are used. LOCTITE® 5127™ can also be used to repair or coat damaged gaskets.
