LOCTITE® HY 4070™ is a powerful hybrid adhesive that combines the strength of structural adhesive with the quick curing properties of instant adhesives. Its exceptional bonding strength and high tensile and shear strength ensure reliable and robust bonds even under challenging conditions. It is capable of bonding to various substrates, including metals, plastics, composites, and rubbers, filling bond gaps up to 5 mm (0.2 in).
LOCTITE® HY 4070™ is a two-component formulation, consisting of cyanoacrylate and epoxy adhesives, that begin curing once both components are combined. The cyanoacrylate component provides fast initial bonding strength, while the epoxy component provides structural integrity. Its combined strength and durability of structural adhesives with the rapid cure of instant adhesives make it suitable for quick repairs and long-term bonding solutions. Upon mixing, handling strength is achieved rapidly, with full strength reached over time.
LOCTITE® HY 4070™ also offers excellent physical properties, including superior moisture, temperature, UV, and chemical resistance. Its non-sag/no-drip formula prevents adhesive flow and drip, making it suitable for vertical applications. "
