Conversion Coating Agent for Immersion of Zinc Phosphate on Steel Surfaces for Various Operations for Cold Deformation of Metal (170°F to 185°F).
Bonderite® M-ZN 198X (previously known as Bonderite 198X) is a powerful chemical agent that produces a dark, zinc phosphate coating adhered to steel surfaces prior to cold deformation of metal (i.e. drawing). Bonderite® M-ZN 198X also imparts a dark, black appearance to the drawn metal surface.
Acid Ratio: 5 to 9
Accelerator: 1 to 7.5 points (Ideal 1.5 to 3 points)
Temperature: 170° to 185°F
Extends Die Life Provides Corrosion Protection on Metal Surface Creates Uniform Surface for Consistent Drawing Reduces Metal-on-Metal Friction
Incomplete Surface Coverage & Poor Adhesion
Difficult to Apply Phosphate Process
Poor Friction Reduction
