Chevron Phillips Chemical n-Pentane Pure (99%), commonly called pentane, is a high purity, non-polar hydrocarbon liquid (CAS 109-66-0) with molecular formula C5H12. N-Pentane Pure provides unrivaled consistency and uniformity for applications where contaminants or impurities are prohibited. The alkane pentane is a colorless liquid with a gasoline-like odor with a boiling point of 36°C and a flash point of <-40°C.
Pentane Pure is a premium hydrocarbon solvent for a wide range of industrial processing and laboratory procedures. Pentane is also a common blowing agent for polystyrene and polyethylene foam.
