This depends on your application and if the water contaminants are anionic or cationic. Mixed-bed ion exchange resins, blends of anion exchange resins, and cation exchange resins are excellent for deionization applications to remove different types of water impurities. We offer Tulsion® mixed-bed ion exchange resins from Thermax, which produce high-purity water and are available in various grades designed to meet the specific needs of your applications.
Tulsion® resins can be used in resin beds to demineralize water streams, removing calcium and magnesium hardness as well as other anion and cation water impurities. Tulsion® mixed-bed resins are also used in disposable and refillable water filters used in a variety of consumer and industrial applications, including:
Laboratories |
Window Washing |
Car Washes |
Solar Panel Cleaning |
EDM Wire Cutting
|
Semiconductor Manufacturing |
Demineralization Water Systems |
Aquariums |
Tulsion® mixed-bed resins are ready-to-use mixes of anionic and cationic cross-linked polystyrene resins with sulfonic and quaternary ammonium functional groups. They provide exceptional purification performance, removing both cation and anion impurities, and can produce demineralized water at conductivity as low as 1 and provide silica removal down to 0.02 ppm.
The mixture of hydrogen form strong acid cation resin and hydroxide form strong base anion resin makes them suitable as a stand-alone filtration system in demineralization and water polishing applications.
