Glyclean® D99
Glyclean® D99 is a manufacturing-use-only EPA registered product from PureTech Scientific, formerly manufactured by Chemours, offering broad-spectrum disinfectant capabilities. Glyclean® D99 is for highly specialized disinfection applications requiring either the highest level of purity or need glycolic acid in an anhydrous form.
Glyclean® D is a line of glycolic acid-based disinfection products from PureTech Scientific, developed for various cleaning and chemical disinfection applications in both household and industrial settings. Registered with the EPA, these products are available as sub-registration formulations, with regulatory support provided by PureTech Scientific globally.
Glyclean® D99 is a dual-action glycolic acid-based ingredient that offers both antimicrobial and disinfecting properties, along with superior cleaning performance in hard surface cleaning formulations. This manufacturing-use-only product must be used in EPA-approved formulations via sub-registration through PureTech Scientific.

Glyclean® Broad Spectrum Disinfectant and Cleaner Glyclean® Pine Cleaner Glyclean® Hard Surface Cleaner (EPA List N approved for SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19) Glyclean® Toilet Cleaner
Glyclean® D99 utilizes its dual functional groups (Acid and Alcohol) to disrupt microbial cell walls and membranes. Its small molecule size allows for fast penetration and minimizes the risk of microbial resistance development.
Bacterial Efficacy: Glyclean® D99 is effective against a broad range of both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria, including E. coli (O157:H7), Listeria welshimeri, Pseudomonas, Salmonella, and Staphylococcus. Full EN 13697 studies are available.
Viricidal Activity: Glyclean® D99 has shown efficacy against both large and small viruses, including both enveloped and non-enveloped types. Testing has demonstrated effectiveness against SARS-CoV-2 (the virus causing COVID-19), Influenza Type A, Rhinovirus Type 37, Herpes Type 1, and more.
Glyclean® Hard Surface Cleaner has proven excellent efficacy against viruses similar to SARS-CoV-2 on non-porous surfaces. It can be used to combat SARS-CoV-2 when applied following the directions for use against Rhinovirus Type 37 on hard, non-porous surfaces.
