CHDA HP
CHDA HP is a high-purity CHDA (1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylic acid) powder used as a chemical intermediate for producing polyester resins with excellent thermal stability, lower resin color, and good humidity resistance.
Eastman CHDA HP is a cycloaliphatic diacid that offers many benefits to polyester resins used in industrial applications. The symmetrical, substituted cycloaliphatic ring structure in CHDA brings useful properties such as improved corrosion and chemical resistance, high thermal stability, low resin color, excellent weathering, and good hydrolytic stability. This leads to improved performance in a variety of waterborne, high-solids, powder, gel, and coil coating applications used in the automotive, transportation, equipment manufacturing, and aerospace industries. CHDA may also be used to create polyester resins for fiberglass reinforced plastics.
CHDA HP is approved in the United States and Europe for use in polyester resins for food contact coatings. It is a mixture of cis and trans isomers and is supplied as white to off-white powder in various package sizes.
