Viton™ HVA-2
Viton™ HVA-2 is a curing or coagent for ethylene-based elastomers, acrylate-based elastomers, chlorinated and chlorosulfonated polyethylene.
Chemours Viton™ HVA-2 is used as a curing agent for peroxide systems that can be used in ethylene-based elastomers (EPDM, EPM, EVA, EOM, and ECO) acrylate-based elastomers (AEM and ACM), and chlorinated/ chlorosulfonated polyethylene (CPE and CSM). Viton™ HVA-2 is a powerful curative for several systems of elastomers as it improves resistance to heat aging and shows excellent resistance to compression sets.
When used in EPDM elastomers, Viton™ HVA-2 accelerates the curing rate and gives you control over the cure state. In Polychloroprene Rubber (CR), Viton™ HVA-2 provides more processing safety compared to urea curing agents. Ethylene acrylic elastomers (AEM), Alkyl Acrylate Copolymer (ACM), also benefit from the use of peroxide curing with fast cure rates and good cure properties.
