CELOGEN® AZRV is a modified chemical blowing agent with a high decomposition temperature for producing a wide range of rigid PVC foam applications.
CELOGEN® AZRV is a modified azodicarbonamide foaming agent designed to produce rigid PVC foams with a fine, uniform, closed-cell structure. As a blowing agent, this grade offers a relatively high decomposition temperature that can be lowered by introducing calcium stearate in the rigid PVC formulation.

Decomposition point: 200°C–210°C
Decomposition point with calcium stearate: 182°C–193°C
Optimum melting temperature: 193°C +
Gas yield: 190–220 ml/g
Gas composition: N₂, CO, CO₂, NH₃
Soluble: Alkaline solutions
Slightly soluble: Dimethyl sulfoxide, dimethylformamide, water
Insoluble: Acetone, benzene, ethylene dichloride
Primary Chemistry: Modified azodicarbonamide
Can use be used in formulations that include nonactivating tin stabilizers
Prevents plate-out deposits on screws, dies, and mold surfaces
