HiTEC® 12050 is an additive package for formulating cost-effective, mainstream heavy-duty engine oils (HDEOs) for trucks that are past the OEM warranty period. Oil marketers can use HiTEC® 12050 to make API CH-4 and CI-4 claims, as well as cascade down to cover API CG-4 at a lower treat rate. At 9% treat rate by weight, this additive package also has DTFR (MB 228.3) and ACEA E7-22 specification coverage. It offers 15W-40 and 20W-50 viscosity grade coverage.
