For Smoother and More Uniform Inks and Fountain Solutions
Proper wetting in inks and fountain solutions is critical to ensure a smoother application when applied to labels, paper, and other mediums. Niaproof® Anionic Surfactant 08 from Niacet is one of the best wetting agents for printing solutions. It is supplied in an aqueous solution based on Sodium 2-Ethylhexyl Sulfate (2-EHS) at 40% concentration.
APPLICATION DETAILS:
NIAPROOF® Anionic Surfactant 08 is excellent for use in printing solutions as it provides multi-functional values to inks and fountain solutions. It improves the wetting and emulsification properties of inks while decreasing foam, resulting in a clean and uniform application and increased legibility.
NIAPROOF® Anionic Surfactant 08 is not only a foam-free surfactant at neutral and acidic pH ranges, but it also has a negligible effect on the emulsification properties of the solution. This makes NAS08 a unique ingredient for use in offset printing fountain solutions.
NIAPROOF®'s novel properties preserve the delicate emulsification balance between a fast-breaking system and rapid re-emulsification, which is necessary for high-speed printing operations. It is an ideal surfactant to mitigate key formulation challenges.
NIAPROOF® FEATURES AND BENEFITS:
Excellent Wetting Agent
NIAPROOF® is an excellent wetting and surface-active agent with a 40 HLB value. It is a great hydrotrope that improves the solubility of desired additives compared to other anionic surfactants.
Exceptional Stability
NIAPROOF® anionic surfactants offer excellent stability in the presence of acids and alkalis. They are also highly stable at a wide range of temperatures and pH ranges.
Improved Print Quality
NIAPROOF® provides superior low foaming, which helps increase the uniformity of ink solutions. It can be a good replacement for chemical solvents such as Butyl Cellosolve and Isopropyl Alcohols in fountain solutions.
DfE Certified
NIAPROOF® 08 is the only 2-EHS product on the market that is DfE-certified (Design for Environment).
