Thickeners/Binders
IFF Naturally Derived Thickeners and Binders:
METHOCEL™cellulose ethers are versatile, water-soluble methylcellulose and hydroxypropyl methylcellulose polymers. They are used as rheology modifiers and stabilizers for suspension concentrates and emulsions. They also are used as binders for seed coatings and seed tape. METHOCEL™ complies with 40 CFR § 180.950.
Lattice® microcrystalline cellulose forms a unique three-dimensional network in water to trap and suspend active ingredients and oil droplets. It is ideal for providing long-term stability to suspension concentrates and agrochemical emulsions without significantly increasing the viscosity. Lattice® complies with 40 CFR § 180.950.
SeaSpen®carrageenans are sustainably sourced from red seaweed. They are biodegradable stabilizing agents for active ingredients and emulsions present in agrochemical formulations. They comply with 40 CFR § 180.910, § 180.920, and § 180.930.
ETHOCEL™ethylcellulose polymers are highly insoluble in water. Therefore, they can be used as a binder and film former for water-insoluble coatings for seeds and crops. Such coatings have application in the controlled release of active ingredients to aid germination. ETHOCEL™ complies with 40 CFR § 180.960.

AGP Soy Methyl Esters:
AGSOY® and SoyGold® are 100% soy methyl esters, one of the best carriers for agriculture applications, including adjuvants, crop protection, and pesticides. SoyGold®, a green chemistry, offers ultralow VOC and carries 40 CFR § 180.910 clearance for preharvest and postharvest uses.
Chevron Phillips Chemical Isoparaffinic Solvents:
Soltrol® Isoparaffinic Solvents from Chevron Phillips Chemical can be used as oil-based adjuvants in agricultural sprays and pesticides to prevent spray drift and help pesticides stick to the crop. Soltrol® is a line of low-odor, high-purity isoparaffin solvents available with a range of boiling points. Soltrol® complies with 21 CFR § 172.882 for direct and indirect food contact applications.
Surfactants
Niacet Niaproof® Anionic Surfactants:
Niaproof® 08 Surfactant is an anionic surfactant from Niacet based on an aqueous solution of sodium 2-ethylhexyl sulfate. Niaproof® carries 40 CFR § 180.910 clearance for preharvest and postharvest uses and DfE approval. It is stable in both acidic and alkaline pH ranges.
Dispersing Agents
BASF Sokalan® Acrylic Polymers:
Polyacrylic acid (PA) and sodium polyacrylates (CP) from BASF are used as dispersing agents and carry the required clearance for agriculture applications.
Sokalan® PA 30 CL is a polyacrylic acid–based dispersing agent with 40 CFR § 180.960 clearance.
Sokalan® CP 5 is a maleic and acrylic copolymer–based dispersing agent with 40 CFR § 180.960 clearance.
Sokalan® CP 9 is a maleic and acrylic copolymer sodium salt with 40 CFR § 180.960 clearance.
IFF Accelerate® Sodium Croscarmellose:
Accelerate® DS-813 is a naturally derived disintegrating and dissolution agent for solid formulations. It quickly disintegrates and dissolves water-dispersible granules to promote the rapid formation of agrochemical suspensions in water.
The SI Group antioxidant portfolio offers FDA food contact benefits for engineering resins and elastomers used in agricultural food processing equipment and conveyor systems. SI Group antioxidants and UV stabilizers protect polyolefin parts, such as HDPE pipes, used in agricultural irrigation systems, such as drip, flood, and sprinkler.
