ETHANOX™ 330 Granular
ETHANOX™ 330 Granular antioxidant is a high–molecular weight phenolic additive for elastomers, PE wire insulation, hot-melt adhesives, tackifiers, and engineering polymer applications. This phenolic antioxidant is similar to ETHANOX™ 330 Powder; however, it’s offered in a granular form for easy handling.
ETHANOX™ 330 Granular antioxidant additive exhibits superior performance over typical high–molecular weight antioxidants in controlling the degradation of polyolefin polymers during processing. It is compatible with a wide variety of resins and most polymer additives. ETHANOX™ 330 Granular antioxidant is stable at high temperatures and is electrically neutral, making it a particularly effective antioxidant for PE wire insulation.
Other antioxidants may contain ester linkages that hydrolyze easily, and ETHANOX™ 330 Granular does not have these linkages, resulting in superior hydrolysis resistance. This hydrolysis resistance is vital for applications requiring protection against water exposure, such as pipes, wires, and cables. ETHANOX™ 330 Granular is also nonmigratory and is the only high–molecular weight phenolic antioxidant approved by the FDA for indirect food contact use in all polymers.
